One-Time Registration

The $14.99 one-time registration fee applies to both task posters and service providers. There are no monthly subscription or recurring registration fee

For Task Posters

10% Platform Fee on Labour

When you connect with a service provider through GigNeighbour, a 10% platform fee applies based on the agreed labour cost of the task.

Example:

Agreed labour cost: $100
GigNeighbour platform fee (10%): $10
Total: $110

The platform fee applies to the agreed labour cost. Materials, supplies, parts, or other expenses arranged directly between you and the service provider are separate unless otherwise stated.

For Service Providers

Keep 100% of Your Labour Earnings

Service providers pay the $14.99 one-time registration fee. GigNeighbour does not currently deduct a commission from your agreed labour payment. If you agree to receive $100 for your labour, you keep the full $100.

How Task Payments Work

GigNeighbour connects task posters with independent service providers. Payment for the actual task is arranged directly between the task poster and service provider. GigNeighbour does not currently collect, hold, escrow, transfer, or guarantee task payments.

Before work begins, both parties should agree on the labour price, payment method, scope of work, and responsibility for materials or additional expenses.

Materials & Additional Expenses

Materials, supplies, parts, parking, transportation, or other expenses are separate from GigNeighbour’s platform fee. Task posters and service providers should agree on any additional costs before they are incurred whenever reasonably practical.

Cancellations & Refunds

Registration fees, platform fees, cancellations and refund requests are handled according to GigNeighbour’s Payment, Fees & Refund Policy and Cancellation & Dispute Policy. Cancelling a task does not automatically result in a refund of GigNeighbour fees.
